Passing the organic torch

I was just checking out a couple of blogs, and just came across an extremely interesting post.

On the all-organic blog, titled Organic Makeup and Skin Care, there are many posts that anyone interested in organic products would love. I, for one, have never really thought to “go green” with my makeup and skin care products because they can be expensive.

But, one post really caught my eye. Titled “Make Your Own Organic Skin Care-With Strawberry!“, this blog shows that organic doesn’t need to be expensive, and in fact, can be fun (and tasty) to try out. In fact, I’m going to try it out, and will post pictures to show how I did next week!

The recipe:
* 5 strawberries
* 1 tablespoon milk
* 1 teaspoon honey
* cotton balls
* warm water
– Blend strawberries, milk and honey together until they become a puree. Spread the mixture on your face and leave it on for about 15-20 minutes. After the time is up, wash off the mixture with warm water and a cotton ball.

The best part about this facial is that it is made up of ingredients that you most likely have in your pantry already. If not, it’ll cost you next to nothing to buy the ingredients.

There are many other facial recipes out there, including ones on the same blog using cucumbers and parsley. They are fairly easy, and fairly inexpensive to try out. They also aren’t time-consuming, so anyone can take time out of their busy day to try them out!

Have fun being organic on the cheap! :)
